Metropolitan Police Trips

During the end of term holidays five lucky students were taken on a trip to the Metropolitan Police Dog Training Centre in Keston.  They met the trainee dogs and puppies and watched a display.

The same students also visited the Marine Unit in Wapping where they learnt about the work of the River Police and visited their museum.

On 19th April another five students were take to the Mounted Police Unit in Great Scotland Yard, SW1.  They met the horses and were told about the many events thay are used at and how they are looked after.  The students also  got to try on the outfits and riot gear worn by the Mounted Officers .

We thank all involved at the Metropolitan Police for providing us with these wonderful opportunities to see their work and in particular thank you to PC Mike Hughes for taking care of us and organising these trips.
