Cavendish School is a small mixed Independent School for 11-16 year olds who have an Education Health Care Plan for SEMH. Our students are taught the full curriculum, taking Entry Level and GCSE in year 11.

We are looking to recruit:

A Teacher of ENGLISH

We wish to appoint a full time Teacher of English to teach across KS3 and KS4 who is passionate about teaching and can enthuse our students to succeed in this this subject.

We are happy to receive applications from experienced teachers and NQT’s who have worked/trained in either primary or secondary and in mainstream or a special setting.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to meet the needs of individual students who have SEMH and complex social and communications difficulties.  Training will be encouraged and the person appointed will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to personal development.    

You we are looking for our new team member to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A sound knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Experience of working with students with challenging behaviour
  • A desire to work with difficult and challenging students
  • A good record of working in a team
  • A range of strategies for motivating students
  • The flexibility to develop new and innovative ways of working
  • Excellent computer skills

Salary is dependent upon experience.
