Willow Weaving

Our two partner organisations, Urban Growth and Time and Talents, arranged outreach work at local church St Peter and the Guardian Angels in Paradise Street, SE16.

Volunteers developed an area of land behind the church into a garden for the congregation to use.  The area was sectioned off with a fence made from willow.

Shelby and Michael were taught how to weave the willow and given the task of making arches for the vegetable patches.  After completing the physical work they sat a short exam which they successfully passed, earning them another AQA module. Congratulations to them both and thanks to Eddi for the instruction and all at Urban Growth and Time and Talents.
